Here's to you, Number 30!

I don't know if it's just the number 30 setting in and feeling like I should be totally grown by now with my shite together or not. I've still got got a couple of weeks until I hit that dreaded number. I know many people who enjoy 30, but I also know quite a few who feel as I do. I'm not where I wanted to be at yet and it's a struggle to get there. Ok, now on the radio is Pussycat Dolls singing about "When I grow up, I wanna be..." Yeah, I don't like all this pressure about "growing up." Grrr...

Yeah, it does feel the same for the most part. I do have moments where I think more "adult-like" if that makes any sense. Just thinking of what I want accomplished and what I need to do to get there. I had a wonderful birthday, thanks! :) My friends took me to dinner and drinks and my sort-of bf took me to the movies. :) Family had an ice cream cake for me too. ^_^

I can understand that. My mind seems to be about 45, physically (at the moment, 55), emotionally I'm like 7 - 13. lol Saturday is my big day and I'm feeling a little better about it. Thank-you for your thoughts. :) Wow! Congrats to your mum! Smooth elbows is an accomplishment!

I just turned 36, but I have the emotional maturity of a 5-year old. Prince is right, it's really just a number.
I personally think people have lots of different ages [physical, psychological, intellectual, emotional, etc.] It really all depends how you feel in your head - it's up to you to pick the age that you like best [from the list above] and attune all your thoughts/feelings /actions to that age.
Simple.
Btw, my mum turned 80 on Jan 1, and - like PantyChrist:) - she feels great! She doesn't even have dry elbows.

That's kinda what I'm hoping, but for some reason I keep evaluating my life. Hopefully those thoughts and worries will just chill soon. Wow, I can understand why dry elbows would be a nuissance. All that reapplying of the lotion can get annoying! Kinda like dry heels.
