Two nights ago I was home alone. My son was staying at my parents for the night, as was my dog. I got home around 9:30pm. I chatted a bit with violator on msn, then decided to crawl into bed and watch a little tv.
Just after midnight I heard a noise, loud enough so that my cat flipped out. I got up and went into my hallway to check it out, thinking it was probably a cat or a raccoon on my back deck but I then heard my outside storm door open and I watched as the handle of my dead bolt door turned. I immediately approached the door and kicked it as hard as I could, then I heard my outside door close.
Needless to say I was pretty freaked out. I then ran upstairs to see if my neighbours were home - they were not. I called my mom and she told me to call the police immediately. So I did. While waiting for them I noticed that roodboi had messaged me on msn. I quickly told him what happened but didn't get to tell him much because the police were there in minutes. They checked out around my house and of course found nothing...but man, I was really spooked. I ended up calling my brother who came to keep me company for the night. I just felt so creeped out, felt like I was being watched...like someone was waiting for me to be home alone. I know that's silly but it really scared me.
Last night I was home with my son, feeling a bit paranoid and nervous but I realized that I had to just try to relax and let it go - which I found hard to do. I was super alert and listening for anything. I was exhausted and ended up falling asleep close to 1am.
This morning I woke up to find police all over my street and police tape surrounding the area directly across from where I live.
A woman was found dead beside the bike path in front of my house.
Terrifying.
I received a call from the police at work asking me about the call I made the night before and was told that they would be dusting my back door for prints as soon as they could.
I've spoken to police about this, I was also approached by reporters when I came home early from work.
Holy shit.
I'm a bit of a mess right now.
